Nanocatalysis Group

Our group investigates the fundamental physics and chemistry of surfaces, with a special emphasis on surface reactivity and catalysis of nanoparticles for energy applications. Our projects are focused on development of new tools for characterization as well as applying these powerful tools to achieve an atomic-scale understanding of which factors determine the specific catalytic properties of nanoparticles and nanostructures, as described in further detail under the research section.

For detailed information please also have a look at our recent publications and highlights section

The characterization tools we use are mainly Non-contact Atomic Force Microscopy, Scanning Tunneling Microscope, Photoemission Spectroscopy and Thermal desorption Spectroscopy. More information can be found in the laboratory sections.

We acknowledge funding from the  The Danish Council for Strategic Research, The Danish Research Council - Technology and Production (FTP), Lundbeckfonden and Villum Fonden.
