SIDANA project

SIDANA - The parallelogram approach to assess the risk of engineered nanotechnology materials

SIDANA is a strategic research alliance between Aarhus University (AU), and the leading Chinese nanotechnology institute, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of China (NCNST), to stimulate international collaboration, training of scientists and complementary use of expertise.
The objective of the project is to use an in vivo/in vitro approach to identify the target organs of nanoparticle toxicity, and to investigate the molecular mechanism of the toxicity with focus on genotoxicity and inflammatory responses. For further details, please see the Research section.
The research groups are located at the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine (Institute of Public Health, AU, DK), iNANO Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (AU, DK) and Laboratory for Biomedical Effects of Nanomaterials and Nanosafety (NCNST, Beijing, China).
