Head of the research group for Sustainable Materials Chemistry

Professor Bo Brummerstedt Iversen
PhD in inorganic chemistry, dr. scient. et techn.

Understanding material properties

Iversen's research group focuses on exploiting the tremendous power of structural studies to obtain a proper understanding of material properties. This involves materials synthesis, advanced property characterization as well as first principles computations.

The research interests of the Iversen group revolve around topics in materials chemistry and materials crystallography with emphasis on application of synchrotron and neutron scattering methods. They include synthesis, characterization and application of energy materials, chemical bonding, electron density analysis, nanoparticles, supercritical fluids and hydrothermal liquefaction (bio-oil).
