In the Kristoffersen lab we study nucleic acids potential for starting evolution from scratch. 

We do this to:

1) uncover the minimal processes and conditions needed for life to appear in the first place.

2) generate new advanced circuits of catalytic nucleic acids and other materials, 

3) explore the sequence and structural space, to understand nucleic acid potential for function.
