I am a molecular biologist with a PhD in Medicine from Aarhus University and a broad research background in molecular and cellular biology, with particular experience in immunology and virology.
I am employed as Lab Manager at the Department of Biomedicine, David Olagnier's group, with overall responsibility for the organisation and coordination of the laboratory. My role combines laboratory management with specialised experimental and methodological support for biomedical research.
My research background includes immunology, virology and host–pathogen interactions, with research experience since 2015. I have contributed to studies of immune regulation, complement and CD46, virus–cell interactions and cellular responses to viral infection, including research involving human herpesvirus 6.
My earlier research focused on the Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase and its structure–function relationship in health and neurological disease, providing a strong foundation in protein biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology.
I have the overall responsibility for the organisation and day-to-day coordination of the laboratory. This includes planning and coordinating laboratory activities, maintaining and developing experimental workflows, and ensuring the efficient operation of laboratory facilities, procedures and resources.
I also provide specialised experimental and methodological support for biomedical research projects, including experimental planning, method optimisation, troubleshooting and implementation of experimental workflows. My technical expertise includes flow cytometry, qPCR, molecular biology, cell-based assays and virus-related experimental research.
Since 2023, I have also served as union representative for academic staff at the Department of Biomedicine.
