I hold a PhD in physical organic chemistry, with my doctoral research focusing on protein-based coacervates and their physicochemical properties. My current research interests lie in the design and application of synthetic intrinsically disordered proteins to mimic biomolecular condensates. In particular, I am interested in engineering condensates that exhibit enzymatic activity, enabling controlled biochemical reactions within phase-separated microenvironments.
