Dr. Rui Shi is currently heading the Section of Optical Spectroscopy at the iAM lab at Aarhus University, Denmark, where he is overseeing a wide array of advanced optical spectrometers and supervising the electron microscopy characterizations. His current research interests are associated with the study of photonic dynamics and the advanced synthesis of nanocrystals.
He received his Ph.D. from the School of Chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University, China, in 2018 for his work on the Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV)—UV spectroscopic study of lanthanide-doped materials. Following graduation, he continued his career as a researcher at Sun Yat-sen University, University of Aveiro, and Stockholm University, Sweden, respectively.
