Kurt Gothelf receives the Rozenberg Tulip Award in DNA Computing and Molecular Programming

Congratulations to Professor Kurt Vesterager Gothelf from iNANO and Department of Chemistry for receiving the Rozenberg Tulip Award.

Professor Kurt Vesterager Gothelf receives the Rozenberg Tulip Award after motivation by Professor William Shih at the 30th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming.

The Rozenberg Tulip Award in DNA Computing and Molecular Programming was awarded to Professor Kurt Gothelf at the 30th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming (DNA30) at Johns Hopkins University on September 19, 2024. The Prize is awarded by a prize committee under the International Society for Nanoscale Science, Computation, and Engineering (ISNSCE) (https://isnsce.org/) based on the received nominations.

The award was given to Gothelf for his pioneering work interfacing organic chemistry, polymer wires, and protein bioconjugation with 2D and 3D DNA nanotechnology, for boosting the DNA computing and molecular programming community in Europe and elsewhere, and for ISNSCE leadership spanning a decade.

Kurt Gothelf was the leader of the Danish National Research Foundation Center for DNA Nanotechnology 2007-2017.  He has also been the coordinator of two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) (EScoDNA and DNA Robotics) in the area.  Furthermore, he has served as treasurer, vice-president and president of ISNSCE.
