I hold a medical degree (cand.med.) from Aarhus University, obtained in 2018, with experience in gynecology, fertility, and oncology. I serve as an elected member of the Steering Committee for the Translational Cancer Network at Aarhus University, representing the PhD students. I commenced my PhD studies in December 2024 under the supervision of Professor Anne Hammer. My project is affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Regionshospitalet Gødstrup, the University Clinic for HPV-related Gynecological Diseases, and the Department of Pathology at Aarhus University Hospital.
My research focuses on precancerous cervical lesions (CIN2). I aim to determine whether methylation patterns in biopsies can serve as biomarkers to predict which lesions are likely to progress to cancer. I also examine differences in the tumor microenvironment between patients whose CIN2 lesions progress and those whose regress. This knowledge could pave the way for more precise and personalized treatment in the future.
I am a PhD candidate at Aarhus University, specializing in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 (CIN2). My research focuses on investigating methylation patterns as biomarkers for disease progression, alongside characterizing the tumor microenvironment.
