High Pressure Coordination Chemistry: The Search for New Phenomena

This talk will explain why we originally got involved in using high pressure crystallography and how we have used local and central facilities to pursue our subsequent studies. After a brief outline of the methods used and their limitations, I will describe selected results from some of our projects, focussing on the range of unusual (and usually unpredicted) phenomena we have discovered.

Host: Professor Bo Brummerstedt Iversen, Center for Materials Crystallography, Department of Chemistry and iNANO, Aarhus University
