RNA Therapeutics – developing a new class of drugs

In the era of RNA therapeutics an idea originating from novel findings in a laboratory can turn into a drug ready for clinical testing with a pace that was unheard-of until recently. Today’s RNA Therapeutic technology now allow us to go from idea to a clinical drug candidate in only 18-24 months. Although the opportunities are many, challenges still remain within the therapeutic space. My talk will give a concise overview of RNA therapeutics, some perspectives on the future directions and touch upon how a potential idea can be turned into medicine. What are the critical steps you will need to go through for de-risking an idea and how to make it attractive for the pharmaceutical/biotech industry?
