Professor Jean-Marc Campagne, Institut Charles Gerhardt, UMR5253, ENSCM, Monpellier, FranceFrom Macrolactin A to Cyclobutenes and N-Heterocycles Syntheses Starting from a project dealing with the total synthesis of macrolactin A, a macrocyclic natural product with potent antibiotic activities, we have finally ended-up with the development of various synthetic methodologies. The synthesis of cyclobutenes through 1,5-enyne metathesis, and the synthesis of various 3-, 5- and 6-membered N-heterocycles will be disclosed during this presentation.
