Tetrathiafulvalene Derivatives on Gold Surfaces

The synthesis of a few tetrathiafulvalene derivatives with sulfur containing ligands for adsorption on gold surfaces is discussed. The adsorption structures that these molecules form on Au(111) are investigated using a combination of STM, RAIRS, HREELS, TPD and DFT calculations.
