The position is for 24 months (with extension possibility for another 24 months) and is available from summer 2022.
In the project, you will become part of a team that investigates the structure and chemical properties of metalsulfide catalysts used for treatment of renewable bio-oils. The aim of the project is to develop insight needed to understand the capacity of these catalysts to remove O from bio-oil in renewable fuel production. As a postdoc you will develop and lead a research activity within experimental characterization of metalsulfide model catalysts using in-situ scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and synchrotron photoemission spectroscopy. The successful candidate will become part of an industry/academia consortium (HyProFuel) that seeks to develop better catalysts for treatment of bio-oil to green fuel. At the interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) you will work in the experimental surface science group of Prof. Jeppe V. Lauritsen.
