I am a postdoc in the MR Research Centre with an expertise in MR Physics. I am involved in setting up of sequences for MR imaging and applying novel metabolic imaging techniques to diseases, primarily in the brain. In addition, I also work on translating the imaging data into clinically relevant information.
The brain is extremely metabolically active and changes in metabolism offer a senstive measure of alterations that can provide important biolological insight. I am interested in applying new metabolic imaging methods to probe the metabolism in brain diseases using external agents. We are currently investigating metabolic changes in glioblastoma using 2H and 13C MRI and metabolism of multiple scerlosis using 2H.
