Senior Researcher at the Department of Functional Disorders, Aarhus University Hospital, and Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University.
I hold a Master’s degree in Health Sciences (MHSc) from Aarhus University (2005) and obtained my PhD from the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University in 2013.
My research focuses on persistent symptoms and functional disorders in primary care, with particular emphasis on early interventions, digital health, and patient involvement. I have extensive methodological experience, including mixed methods research, survey-based studies, systematic reviews, and participatory designs.
I am a member of the research group for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) at Aarhus University Hospital and the international research network EURONET-SOMA (The European Research Network to Improve Diagnosis, Treatment and Health Care for Patients with Persistent Somatic Symptoms).
