I am a medical doctor with a background in paramedicine, currently pursuing a PhD in resuscitation science at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University, and the Department of Medicine, Randers Regional Hospital. I am affiliated with the Research Center for Emergency Medicine at Aarhus University Hospital. I am the co-lead of the Resuscitation Science Masterclass and member of the Young European Resuscitation Council (ERC) Committee. I serve on the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Task Force of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and on the ERC ALS Science and Education Committee.
My research interests lie within emergency medicine and acute critical care, with a particular focus on cardiac arrest and ventilation strategies during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
My responsibilities include both research and education, including the co-supervision of students as part of my role as a PhD fellow. I am the lead investigator of the Ventilation During In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (VENT-IHCA) study — a prospective, multicenter observational study investigating ventilation quality during cardiopulmonary resuscitation in hospitalized adult patients.
