Bachelor projects are 10-20 ECTS; the purpose is a demonstration of student´s ability to analyze and interpret a matter within a given scientific topic. BSc projects we suggest can be a completed, individual research project, a pilot study, a completion of other´s project, or a contribution to a larger, collaborative project.
We develop biosensors for cancer and infectious disease diagnostics and neuroscience research (in collaboration with Aarhus University Hospital), food and environmental analysis. These biosensors are based on enzymes, antibodies, DNA, and RNA aptamers. Another research direction involves development of novel energy sources, exploiting DNA antennas, nanocatalysts and enzymes for sunlight transformation.
