I originally graduated with an MSc but have been employed at the department since my PhD appointment. Throughout my employment, I have researched topics related to bone formation and osseointegration, as well as taught histology and immunology-related topics. Early in my career, I became part of the department's occupational health and safety organisation and later part of the faculty's through which I have worked on many topics within the physical-chemical and psychological work environment. Alongside my other tasks, I have taken on leadership roles for the institute's core facility for research, the faculty's chemical specialists as well as broad academic section that includes the subject areas of paediatric dentistry, cariology, epidemiology, periodontology, microbiology, immunology, anatomy and chemistry-biochemistry.
: In my AU employment, I have several roles, acting as head of the Section for Oral Ecology, the Research Laboratories, and the faculty's Chemical Consultants. Is the coordinating occupational health and safety leader at faculty and department level, as well as the chair of the AU Chemicals Network. Is course coordinator for the subject Oral and General Histology, and responsible for teaching Immunology. Supervising bachelor's and master's projects. Member of the Study Board of Dentistry.
