My research combines microbiology and nanotechnology in pursuit of understanding how biofilms establish, and how they can be controlled.

• Development of new approaches to treat biofilm infections
• Encapsulation of antimicrobial compounds for medical and food applications
• Development of antimicrobial and anti-adhesive surfaces to prevent biofilm formation
