The term "Commissioned research" refers to services offered by the university to private companies on market conditions. A company can buy analysis tasks, testing etc. which include a commercial exploitation of scientist competences. The company will finance the activities in full.

For this reason, the company will usually have the rights to the results achieved - including intellectual property rights.
